Gastronomy on Sunday in Groningen
Special Events & Sunday Afternoons
Sunday
Sunday is the perfect day for a long, relaxed culinary experience. Throughout the year, we open our doors on Sunday afternoons for a diverse range of exclusive events—from atmospheric holiday celebrations to unique wine-and-food pairing adventures. During these specially curated afternoons, you can enjoy the refined gastronomy for which we are known, all within a relaxed setting.

Le Déjeuner du Dimanche
An extensive Sunday Roast à la Française.
This afternoon we honour the classic French kitchen; in four courses we serve Burgundian, generously dressed plates.
The lunch costs 85,- per person, drinks not included. On this afternoon we do not pour a wine pairing; the wine list is the starting point.
Arrival between 12:30 and 13:00.

Burgundy on Sunday
Burgundy, the leading wine region of France, is the subject of a three-part Sunday lunch at Restaurant Bisque.
Over the spring of 2027, chef Niels Schievink and sommelier Sabrina Mans take you through Burgundy in depth.
Three Sunday afternoons in three different seasons, each showing a different side of this wine region. The editions are two months apart, which gives each one its own time and space. Every edition stands on its own.
The Burgundy Trilogy
Part I: Winter richness & powerful reds
Sunday 31 January 2027 | Starts at 13:00
We open the trilogy in midwinter. Outside it is cold, inside it is warm. Niels serves his rich, classic dishes with deep sauces, game and truffle. Sabrina pours the powerful red wines from the Côte de Nuits alongside them (such as Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges).
An ode to the layers of aged Pinot Noir.
275,- p.p.
Part II: The turn of spring & elegant whites
Sunday 4 April 2027 | Starts at 13:00
With early spring in the air, the flavours on the plate and in the glass change. We mark the season of the first morilles and refined fish dishes. This afternoon the main role goes to the great, complex white Burgundies from the Côte de Beaune (think of the opulence of Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet), flanked by elegant, full-bodied Pinot Noirs from the region.
325,- p.p.
Part III: The summer grand finale
Sunday 6 June 2027 | Starts at 13:00
In early June we close the journey in early summer. The afternoon is about freshness, refinement and the product itself. Think of crustaceans and shellfish and light preparations. We explore the minerality of Chablis Grand Crus and end with the lesser-known, lively wines from the Chalonnais.
250,- p.p.
Passe-Partout: 795,- p.p.
Each part of the trilogy is served in full, based on a five-course Signature menu.
