Booking and practical information

For up to six people you book directly online, with the button on this page.

Two days before your visit we ask you to reconfirm your booking. After that, cancelling free of charge is no longer possible; we then charge 50,- per person. This also applies to bookings made within two days of the evening.

If the evening you want is already full, we put you on the waiting list. If a table comes free, we book it for you and you will hear from us.

If you have made other plans in the meantime, just let us know, and the table goes to the next person on the waiting list.

From seven people, call us on +31 50 280 2058 or email info@restaurantbisque.nl, and we will arrange everything with you. For groups of twelve to sixteen people we also open on Sunday and Monday on request. An exclusive lunch or dinner for a small group is possible by arrangement.

For severe allergies and complex dietary requirements, we cannot adapt everything.

What we can do: If you do not eat fish, meat, game, poultry, crustaceans or shellfish, we serve a vegetarian dish.
A fully vegetarian menu is possible, provided you let us know at least one day in advance.

What we can do to a limited extent: gluten, lactose and mushrooms.

What we cannot do: vegan, and leaving out basic ingredients such as soy, egg, citrus, vinegar, dairy, onion, garlic, leek and celery.

Children are welcome, but there is no special children’s menu.

Your dog is welcome, as long as it does not disturb other guests or our staff.

From the A28 (coming from Assen) Take exit 39 Groningen-Zuid and turn right onto the Van Ketwich Verschuurlaan. Drive to the end and turn left onto the Verlengde Hereweg. After a few minutes through the old centre of Helpman, you will find us on the right-hand side.

From the A7 (coming from Drachten or Hoogezand)

On the southern ring road, follow the signs for Centrum as far as the roundabout at the Brailleweg. There, take the Máximaweg to the Hereweg and turn right. You are then heading towards Helpman, the road becomes the Verlengde Hereweg, and shortly afterwards you will see us on the left-hand side.

Directions

Coming by car? From 19:00, parking across the road and round the corner is free (parking zone 3031). A stone’s throw away, you can also park easily on the Helperplein.

At the junction of the Verlengde Hereweg and the Van Iddekingeweg there is a charging point for electric cars. Coming from the southern ring road or the A28, you are with us in a few minutes without having to enter the centre.

From the main station, the city buses run along the Hereweg; the stop is within walking distance of us. On foot from the station it takes a little under half an hour, by taxi ten minutes.

Restaurant Bisque is in Helpman, the residential neighbourhood on the south side of Groningen, among the shops on the Verlengde Hereweg. From the Grote Markt you can cycle here in about ten minutes. If you come by car, you stay out of the bustle of the city centre and from 19:00 you pay nothing for parking.

We seat guests until 19:00 and close at 23:30. If you are running late, just give us a call; we will hold the table and start when you arrive.

A dinner at Bisque takes the whole evening. If you are pressed for time, tell us when you arrive, and we will take it into account.

There is no dress code. Feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in.

We accept debit cards and Visa/Mastercard credit cards, among others.
